DNA Laboratório has embraced change and taken a step forward in its work management, choosing SISQUAL® WFM in 2023 as the Workforce Management (WFM) software for its global operations, to enhance and optimize its processes.

Founded in 2010 in Salvador, Bahia, DNA Laboratório is a clinical analysis laboratory that offers a wide range of tests, including routine tests, specialized tests, and genetic tests. The laboratory also offers home sample collection services and online results delivery.

The laboratory currently has units in Salvador, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília. Supporting this operation are more than 350 employees, including doctors, biologists, biochemists, and laboratory technicians.

A change with the future in mind

DNA Laboratório aims to offer high-quality, reliable tests at affordable prices. It also aims to raise awareness of the importance of routine and genetic tests.

For this to happen quickly and efficiently, its entire team of employees needs to be in tune with this idea of doing more and doing it better.

However, at a time when health institutions are facing a significant staffing crisis: the World Health Organization estimates that more than 18 million workers will be needed by 2030, it is necessary to anticipate and foresee this type of obstacle in the operation of the entity in the different regions where it is located. This is why the partnership with SISQUAL® WFM came about.

The implementation project began in April 2023 at the headquarters in Salvador and ended in August 2023, with more than 350 employees benefiting from various SISQUAL® WFM modules. They are:

  • SISQUAL® Time & Attendance: With this module, DNA Laboratório’s shift managers in the different units can manage their teams’ attendance data and gain greater control over absenteeism and overtime.
  • SISQUAL® Quality of Life Portal + APP: A fundamental module for maintaining a balance between professional and personal life. Through the application, the team’s more than 350 employees can record their attendance, request vacation appointments, change schedules, and justify absences.
  • SISQUAL® Operations Cockpit: The right professional, in the right unit, on the right scale. Through this module, DNA Laboratório managers can control the management of employees’ daily tasks; act in real timreal-timee to optimize processes; and increase productivity, helping to empower employees while retaining their talent.
  • SISQUAL® SalaryCalc: DNA Laboratório’s invoicing team can now automatically calculate the hours worked, thus helping to process salaries accurately and more efficiently.

Before and after SISQUAL® WFM

DNA Laboratório pointed out that many of these changes came from manual needs. However, the main change was in payroll processing.

Before implementing SISQUAL® WFM, all operations were controlled manually and there was a greater likelihood of errors in the final spreadsheet.

The balance of hours was also inaccurate before the tool was used, but this improved with greater control of the actual hours worked by each employee, which also made it possible to reduce labor liabilities.
