Lacmar Laboratories improve time and attendance management with SISQUAL® WFM
The clinical analysis laboratory Lacmar, located in São Luís do Maranhão, Brazil, has adopted SISQUAL® WFM to automate roster management and improve time and attendance management. The healthcare institution has been implementing the solution since 2023, having acquired 355 licences for the tool.
Lacmar was founded in 2014, but in 2017, as demand for its services increased, the company expanded its operations in the region. This advance brought challenges in human resource management, making it essential to adopt technological solutions to optimise the operational efficiency of its teams. Today, the laboratory has one Operational Technical Centrer, and 37 collection units.

According to Daniela Ribeiro, an Analyst of the Personnel Department, it took the company around a week to consolidate and analyse employee time records. Besides, the high costs of printing out records hindered operational efficiency. The tool thus brought agility and precision to the process, allowing activities that previously took a week to be completed in a single day.
Now, the team can track employees’ entries and exits in real time and manage compensatory time, delays, absences, and time off. Dulcineia Rodrigues, coordinator of the pre-analytical department, confirms the improvement in attendance management: ‘Today, we can quickly check all employee information and understand the impact of absences on service, guaranteeing greater operational efficiency.’

In addition, the ability to quickly reallocate teams has become a strategic differentiator. ‘If an employee is absent from a particular unit, we can manage the roster quickly to make up for it without jeopardising patient care,’ explains Dulcineia, referring to the system’s reliability as a determining factor in this process.
