CIUENP adopts SISQUAL® WFM to boost emergency service efficiency in southern Brazil

The Intermunicipal Consortium for Urgency and Emergency Care in Northwest Paraná (CIUENP) is SISQUAL® WFM‘s newest partner in Paraná, in southern Brazil. The institution, a benchmark in pre-hospital emergency care in the north-western region of the state, has acquired 600 SISQUAL® WFM licences to improve work schedule planning and optimise the operational management of professionals working in emergency and urgent care services.

Created in March 2011, CIUENP is recognised as a benchmark in pre-hospital care, offering a rapid response and directing patients to the most appropriate health facility. It comprises 101 municipalities, serving more than 1.2 million inhabitants. The institution coordinates the activities of SAMU 192 Noroeste Paraná, an essential telephone service for medical emergencies and urgent care, integrating human, technological and logistical resources in an operation that runs 24 hours a day.

Modernisation drives operational efficiency

Managing schedules and shifts in an operation involving hundreds of professionals, multiple bases, and real-time care is a complex logistical challenge. Before adopting SISQUAL® WFM, CIUENP faced the need to automate processes and improve employee scheduling to enhance operational visibility.

To address these challenges, CIUENP implemented a set of modular SISQUAL® WFM solutions:

  • SISQUAL® Operations Cockpit – Tool for planning, controlling and visualising operations in real time, optimising resources and response time.
  • SISQUAL® Dashboard – Strategic view of key indicators, supporting data-driven decision making.
  • SISQUAL® SalaryCalc – Brings agility and accuracy to payroll calculation, integrated with the operational reality of the service.

Optimisation that saves lives

In a pre-hospital care service, digitalising processes means saving lives. The automation of schedules and real-time monitoring of team availability enable faster responses, the intelligent allocation of human resources, and a reduction in potential human error.

In addition, the technology offers transparency, predictability, and a more balanced work environment for healthcare professionals, which are fundamental pillars for an excellent emergency service.

With the arrival of CIUENP, SISQUAL® WFM thus strengthens its presence in the healthcare sector in southern Brazil, representing a significant advance in the digitalisation of emergency medical services in the country.

Currently, around 750 healthcare institutions in Brazil and more than 1,500 worldwide use SISQUAL® WFM daily to optimise their operations, promote the well-being of their teams and improve the care provided to patients.
