SISQUAL® WFM is the first Portuguese company with a Cybersecurity Seal

SISQUAL WFM has received this tuesday, 14th of December, the Cybersecurity Seal during the Digital Maturity Seals conference, held at the Instito Nacional Casa da Moeda (INCM) in Lisbon.

Among the event, held under the theme ‘Portugal Pioneer in Certification’ were several important names of the Portuguese government and business scenes like the Economy and Digital Transition State Minister, Pedro Siza Vieira, and Mariana Vieira da Silva, State and Presidency Minister.

Pedro Cabral,  SISQUAL WFM Chief Operating Officer, was part of the company delegation that was present at the conference, in which the themes of innovation and security were under debate.

For the operations director, the “global vision” and the company’s focus on “excellence” were the main competitive advantages for SISQUAL WFM‘s candidature of a cybersecure company, “besides the importance of having an external entity that validates the positive performance of the company in the Workforce Management market”, he reveals.

The Cybersecurity Seal awarded to SISQUAL WFM in the ‘silver’ category, is based on several pillars that sustain the “digital maturity”, among which – sustainability, security, privacy and accessibility.

Certification is an asset for companies

Ensuring that a digital system used by institutions is safe to use, so that it can guarantee the privacy of its user, implies rules and a set of security requirements, of network and information, in order to increase the citizen’s environment of confidence in the service.

That said, SISQUAL WFM “as a leading technology company in the WFM market, believes that it is essential to ensure the protection of customer data,” says Bianca Montecchi, SISQUAL WFM’s Quality Manager.

Cybersecurity is of increasing importance in the current global scenario, as revealed by the National Cybersecurity Centre‘s 2020 report, which indicates a 124% increase in cybersecurity incidents compared to the previous year.

The pandemic has accelerated the use of digital technologies by businesses and institutions and hence, Cybersecurity certification as an element of risk prevention has created value for businesses.

The growing affluence in the digital market also contributes to a more competitive economy, ensuring that companies through the use of these new technologies can grow and relate better with suppliers and customers.

SISQUAL WFM‘s commitment to information security began with the acquisition of the ISO 27001 and ISO 27018 standard certifications in 2020, and in 2021 with the certification of the ISO 27701 standard, regarding the privacy of personal data. Today, SISQUAL WFM is the only Portuguese company with so many compliance references, having been the first Portuguese company to receive the Cybersecurity seal.
