With more than four decades of experience in the fruit-growing sector in Portugal, Melro OP is today a national and international benchmark in producing and commercialising fresh fruit. True to its culture of innovation and excellence, the company opted for SISQUAL® WFM to improve the efficiency of its operations and the quality of life of its employees.
With 350 employees covered by the solution, the implementation of SISQUAL® WFM responds to the company’s strategic goal of digitising processes. It focuses on attendance and holiday management and the automatic calculation of items for payment, thus optimising its organisational performance.
Melro OP acquired the following modules:
- SISQUAL® Quality of Life APP: Focussed on improving the quality of life of managers and employees, it facilitates communication and the management of daily tasks.
- SISQUAL® Time & Attendance: Automates time and attendance recording, reducing errors and optimising working time management.
- SISQUAL® SalaryCalc: Automates the calculation of salary variables, reducing errors and cutting the time spent on payroll processes.
- SISQUAL® Notifier: Sets up alerts for situations that may impact service levels.
In addition, integration with the PHC business management software, which the company already uses, allows for total synchronisation between operational and administrative data.
Founded in 1983 by Isabel Patrocínio and Francisco Fêo e Torres, Melro OP was born in the heart of the West region and is today one of the largest producers of fresh fruit in Portugal, with special emphasis on Rocha pears, Gala apples and plums, whose production occupies around 650 hectares in various regions of the country. With a strong export vocation, its products currently reach markets such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and countries on the African continent, as well as having a solid presence in major national and European supermarket chains.
The project to implement the SISQUAL® WFM solution was carried out by inCentea, SISQUAL®’s certified partner in Portugal, guaranteeing close and specialised support during all stages of the process.
