In recent years, cyber threats have increased significantly. According to a report by the National Cyber Security Centre, the number of registered vulnerabilities grew by 57.6% between 2020 and 2023, reflecting the urgency of robust digital protection measures. With the pandemic accelerating digitalisation, cybersecurity has become a strategic prevention tool.

SISQUAL® WFM has reaffirmed its commitment to data protection by renewing its cybersecurity certification, the Silver level Cybersecurity Seal, thus standing out in the Workforce Management (WFM) market.

The re-certification, awarded by APCER, is an important milestone as it confirms the company’s ongoing commitment to the privacy, accessibility and security of its technological solutions.

Pedro Cabral, operations director at SISQUAL® WFM, talks about the importance of this recertification: ‘The company’s focus on excellence and global vision of data protection are the reasons why we continue to be recognised as a cybersecure company.’

The importance of certification for WFM systems

For many companies, recertification in cybersecurity goes beyond compliance with standards, allowing them to improve customer confidence, protect sensitive information and increase competitiveness in the market. SISQUAL® WFM was the first Portuguese company to obtain the Silver level cybersecurity seal and is considered the technology company with the largest set of ISO references in the country, such as ISO/IEC 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2013, ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018, ISO/IEC 27018:2019, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, reinforcing its position as a pioneercompany in Portugal.

In a scenario in which data has become a valuable asset and its protection is essential, it is important to adopt a solution that follows cybersecurity standards available on the market. ‘Security certifications are a commitment to the quality and protection of our customers data,’ says Bianca Montecchi, Quality Manager at SISQUAL® WFM.

By investing in cybersecurity, SISQUAL® WFM not only protects its clients’ information, but also helps companies grow sustainably and securely, enabling better interaction with suppliers and partners.

The Future of Cybersecurity

With the European Commission’s current proposal for the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), which introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements for digital products, security in the digital environment will be even more crucial. That said, SISQUAL® WFM is leading the way, demonstrating that WFM solutions also play a vital role in data protection.  This is a commitment to the future, both for its customers and for the security of their systems.
