STAY HOTELS, a Portuguese hotel chain in expansion and that owns 18 hotel units in the country, acquired the Workforce Management software (SISQUAL WFM) in December 2020.
Just Stay Hotels, S.A. was created in March 2013 and is aimed at a public mostly of “short stay”, on business or leisure trips. It emerged from a Build-up strategy to boost the growth of the Portuguese network, through integration synergies, scale economies and development of brand awareness. The investment emerged due to the lack of a solid market in this segment, in which most of the competitors are independent players.
The group’s hotels are strategically located in major Portuguese cities, having two units near the country’s largest airports, in Lisbon and Porto.
SISQUAL WFM makes management easier
With about 110 employees, the network justifies the acquisition of the tool based on the need to implement a multifunctional team management system, which until then was done manually using Excel maps. With the implementation of the tool, the hotel group aims to achieve better management of time and costs, being able to better manage the number of active workers and their schedules, shifts and absences.
Through the acquisition of modules such as SISQUAL Quality of Life Portal, SISQUAL Time&Attendance, SISQUAL Auto Scheduling, SISQUAL Operations Cockpit and SISQUAL Salary Calc, STAY HOTELS intends to improve time management, schedules and salary integration of the group.
To facilitate the work of managers and optimize the productivity of the business, especially in a scenario of a global pandemic for the tourism sector, the group also has as a future mission to create and consolidate a national hotel network, and its goal is to reach, until 2022, a network of 18 units, in a total of one thousand rooms available.
