COTEC Portugal, the main Portuguese business association for the promotion of innovation and business technological cooperation, announced in January 2021 the creation of a new status to be attributed to companies that translate their innovation potential into profitable growth and financial strength._x000D_

According to COTEC, the COTEC Innovative Statute will act as a seal of reputation and prestige for the companies that will hold this status. A result from a partnership with the financial sector, the Statute brings new advantages for companies, having as main objectives:_x000D_

- Promote public recognition of companies that, due to their innovation performance, are an example of value creation for the country
- Create a network of partners who value this distinction, enhancing benefits and preferential conditions for innovative companies

In order to apply for this Statute, the company must operate in national territory with Research, Development and Innovation activities, with a high level of financial solidity and comply with the other requirements present in the Regulation of the Innovative Statute._x000D_
