Over the last few centuries, industry has undergone major revolutions: from the steam engine to electrification, and now to the digitalisation and automation of industry. Today, society is experiencing a new phase, known as Industry 5.0, which, in addition to promoting efficiency and productivity, aims to place people and the planet at the centre of technological innovation<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is Industry 5.0? <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Industry 5.0 is the next step in industrial development, emerging as a response to the limitations of Industry 4.0. While the latter is based on digitisation and automation through technologies such as IoT, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI), Industry 5.0 focuses on collaboration between humans and intelligent machines, valuing creativity, sustainability and resilience.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a global scenario increasingly marked by economic crises, climate change and accelerated digital transformation, Industry 5.0 emerges as a necessary response to balance technological innovation, human well-being and environmental responsibility<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This paradigm argues that technology should be a tool to enhance human capabilities, not a substitute. Thus, the human mind and technology begin to work in sync, creating a more sustainable, fairer, and better-prepared productive sector for addressing global challenges. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role of WFM in Industry 5.0 <\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Workforce Management<\/a> (WFM) plays a key role in this new paradigm. If Industry 5.0 advocates technology that values human beings, WFM operationalises this vision within organisations.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n
